The Situation

Monifi is a division of MidFirst Bank that launched in August 2020. As a new digital bank, Monifi knew building brand awareness in a congested marketplace would be a challenge. Monifi partnered with Smirk to develop all of their organic social media content and creative campaigns. With the holiday season approaching, Monifi wanted to find a unique way to highlight the bank’s services and stand out amongst competitors.

The Solution

The Smirk team started building this campaign by identifying the six major banking holidays from Q4 to Q1. We then developed unique concepts for creative content pieces that would capitalize on holiday spirit and reinforce brand awareness in a fun, engaging way. We opted to produce short animated video pieces over static content to cater to Facebook and Instagram’s algorithm. Each of our six original motion graphics featured the distinctive Monifi Orange Debit Card as the focal element of the campaign with custom visuals representing a specific holiday.
