How Smirk helped a local business design a cause marketing campaign that exceeded sales and fundraising goals by 135%.
KampCo Foods owns and operates all Kamp’s 1910 Cafe and Johnny Carino’s locations across Oklahoma and north Texas. The company has been a long-time champion for local nonprofits. As part of an ongoing partnership, Smirk developed an original social media cause marketing campaign called “KampCo Gives Back” to fundraise for Community Health Charities and generate in-store sales.

Smirk developed original branding for the campaign that would distinguish it from the Kamp’s 1910 and Johnny Carino’s brands. We created a series of creative assets, including motion graphics, that incorporated the Community Health Charities’ brand standards. Organic and paid social content highlighted that proceeds from in-store sales would benefit the charity.
The sales and fundraising goal for the initial month was exceeded by 135%. The campaign launch was so successful that KampCo continued the initiative, selecting different local charities to support in subsequent months.
