How Smirk helped a grocery store’s anniversary event reach maximum attendance capacity.
Super Cao Nguyen has historic roots as Oklahoma City’s oldest and largest international grocery store. In recognition of their 40th anniversary, they planned a community food festival benefiting the Homeless Alliance. As part of an ongoing partnership with Smirk, Super Cao enlisted our help in promoting the event.
With two weeks to promote the event, Smirk developed an event promotion strategy centered around influencer outreach and creating engaging organic and paid social content. We created an event hashtag and coordinated with local chefs and foodies to boost the visibility of the event. Our ad campaigns focused on driving event RSVPs. Our team provided live event coverage, posting to Super Cao’s social media in real-time and engaging with attendees.
As a result of this campaign, Super Cao’s 40th anniversary event reached maximum attendance capacity within the first few hours. Smirk’s digital advertising campaigns achieved thousands of event RSVPs on a small budget. The event was attended by local media and many notable community figures, including Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt. The organic and paid social campaigns far surpassed all goals and projections given the budget and timeline.
